Payload IQ respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and applicable South African law. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you interact with our website or contact us, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, email, phone number, company name and fleet information you submit via the contact form.
• Checklist downloads: if you download the Fleet Compliance Checklist, the name, email and company you enter are used only in your browser to personalize the PDF. We do not receive or store those details. A reCAPTCHA security check is verified server-side to prevent abuse.

How we use information

• Respond to enquiries: route your message to the right sales or support contact.
• Deliver services: onboard weighing, fleet monitoring and support tied to your contract.
• Legal compliance: meet regulatory, tax or law-enforcement obligations where required.
• Marketing: only with your consent. Unsubscribe any time via the link in our emails.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with:

• Hosting: our website host may process standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and delivery.
• Google Apps Script / Gmail: contact form submissions are processed by Google Apps Script and delivered by email (Gmail) so we can respond to your enquiry.
• Google Fonts: page fonts may be loaded from Google’s font service, which can receive your IP address and browser details under Google’s privacy terms.
• Google reCAPTCHA: the contact form and checklist download use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse. Google may collect device and usage data under the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Authorities: when required by law, court order or to protect rights and safety.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures: access controls, encryption in transit where supported, and staff training. No internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as law requires. Contact form enquiries are retained securely for response, support, and legitimate business records.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and object to direct marketing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

Our services are directed at businesses and fleet operators. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
